You've decided to do you gardening the healthy and safe way for you and your family, but your not sure how to start. To achieve the best results you want from your organic garden, you need to ask yourself a few questions.

Do you have an area that has full sun for most of the day?
What kind of soil do you have? Not to worry, as you can always add amendments with the regular addition of organic matter to make your soil suitable for organic garden growing.
What are the food needs of your family in regards to organic gardening? You don't want to grow squash if no one in your family likes it. Tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, strawberries, you have to determine what fruits and vegetables your family likes.
Do you have enough water available to the area that you want to create your organic garden?
Temperature zones - is your area extremely hot or do you have a short growing season? You will need to know this to determine the types of plants you want to grow and and when to do your planting.
